Today: ...so I think I just may be sick for the millionth time again. Hopefully it'll be short like my last cold some weeks ago, but it feels kind of inevitable that I would get sick again since everyone in my family & my boyfriend have been sick lately. My boyfriend's had by far the most severe sickness, but thankfully I don't think I caught what he had. Hopefully some cold meds + rest will = a quick recovery.

I didn't do much of anything today. I love that I'm on break, but I feel kinda...bored. Why is it always that way? You spend a few days coping from all the work you did during school only to find that a few days later you're bored out of your mind. I made myself start one of my university applications, and have a page written down so far. I still have a little ways to go. The prompt is pretty generic, but I'm having a hard time trying to convey what I want/need to say for some reason -_-;;

Anyway, to cope with my boredom I figured I'd bring out my inner nerd and watch things on Crunchyroll since I haven't done that in foreeever. I used to like the site more a few years ago when they had the music section that had videos/interviews/behind the scenes tidbits of popular j-pop artists, but it seems that they have gotten rid of that section. The anime and drama section are still in tact though. I watched the last episode of the popular K-drama "The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince", Kaede New Town, a short anime movie, and the anime series Chance! Pop Session. I'm such a sap for K/J-dramas, it's pretty lame xD They're all long and typical, but I just can't help but get some sort of enjoyment out of them.

As for the anime I watched, I've been meaning to see Chance! Pop Session for years now ever since I listened to the song "Woo Yeah Woo Ah" by seiyuu Enomoto Atsuko when I was in 9th grade. For those who are curious, CPS is about three aspiring singers named Yuuki, Akari, and Nozomi (seen at left) who are brought together by chance (hah, see what I did there) after attending the same concert of their idol Reika. The three pick up a flier for some kind of music school accepting those who are interested in singing, and it just kind of kicks off from there. It's a series of tragedy, bullying, and happiness rolled into one. Not gonna lie parts of it were down right annoying (*cough* Nozomi) >_>, and others were down right sad. It wasn't at all what I thought it would be like. I was half kind of expecting it to be like Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch sans singing off enemies and just being really happy and girly, but it wasn't really that way at all. It was an okay series I thought.

On the other hand, Kaede New Town was sooo cute :3 It's about a boy named Mikio who has a big crush on a girl named Haruko, but the problem is that she is moving in a week and he hasn't told her how he feels about her. It's a short animated movie that runs at only about 29 minutes, but it's worth a watch if you're bored and wanna watch something. What drew me into it was the animation style which slightly reminded me of PaRappa the Rapper xD

Haha, it turns out today's entry was a review of sorts, which totally wasn't what I had in mind xD I think I'm really quite terrible at doing reviews ._.; I did slightly miss my inner nerd. She feels a little bit happy that she was brought out today :P

Anyway, good night world~

Today: Yay, update~ Sorry it's been forever. I've been studying for finals/doing homework for the past few weeks D: On the plus side though, I am officially on winter break. Aaaand...the good news is that unlike last year, there is no snow :DDDD Which means that Steph won't be snowed in/trapped inside her house :b I hope I didn't just jinx it >_>; I really don't like snow.

Have I explained the reasoning behind that yet?

For those curious, it started a few years ago when I was a junior in high school and we had continuous days off due to snow. Now, you're probably thinking, "wait, no school? Isn't that a good thing?" Well, it would have been except that we had to make up the days we missed at the end of the year, which meant cutting into summer break. Snow days also fucked up class schedules too, so we'd be behind in coursework. From there it progressed to snow hate dislike because when it snowed heavily, I couldn't go out and do anything. It would be a pain in the ass trying to get out of the driveway because so much snow had piled up on it, or it would be too icy to walk, etc.

Bottom line. I like when it snows as long as it goes away after a few days, but if it snows for days and days to the point where conditions are dangerous and disabling people from going out, it becomes a problem. I'm probably complaining over nothing though. I mean, people on the east coast manage to cope >_>;

Anyway, school. I finished fall quarter with...stressful ease? xD I dunno how to explain it. Like, the load was heavy, but I still somehow found time to veg on some days. Overall I'd say that this past quarter has flown by pretty quickly, and it wasn't nearly as tough and unbearable as last year. Perhaps I've finally adjusted to college life :P We find out our grades sometime this week or next week, and I'm a little nervous/anxious/excited about them. I mean, I'm anticipating decent grades since I worked my butt off this quarter, but you never know >_>; I wanna bump my GPA up a little more dammit >P I'm so glad that I'm on break now. I can finally just...relax. Well, kind of. My goal for break is to begin university applications and submit them. I really need to get them done a.s.a.p.

In other news, you might have noticed that I updated the layout for this blog. I'm thinking about adding more content, but I'm not really sure what to add yet.

While I ponder that, I think I'll call it good for a blog entry. Until next time~

Today: So I'm feeling kinda lazy, and I'm gonna just paste in the latest entry from my livejournal :P

My throat is killing me.

Yup. I'm sick again. Woo >:( I had no idea that all my cousins were sick while there were over at my house yesterday, and now I think I'm suffering for it D:

Thanksgiving weekend wasn't all that great. My family didn't actually have Thanksgiving dinner until yesterday because on Thanksgiving we went to some shitty party where I didn't know over half of the people. It was seriously my family plus a million other people. Ugh. I really hate family parties. I was practically a loner that night, and honestly my family is a bit annoying. I love them, don't get me wrong, it's just...ugh.

Friday was the first time in a few years where I didn't actually go shopping on black Friday. It was kind of refreshing not having to deal with massive crowds, but at the same time, I did kind of want to go out and buy something.

Fall quarter is almost over. It felt like it went by pretty quickly. I really enjoyed my classes this quarter. I was dreading history a lot, but it actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I mean, it was heaps of reading every weekend, but it was way more interesting than I remembered that part of history to be xD I wonder why last year felt like such a load? Maybe it had something to do with being a freshman? Everything is usually harder the first time I guess. I'm slightly looking forward to break, but...not. I really need to buckle down and start uni applications. Not looking forward to it. Not one bit.

And that's where my worry starts to come in. I mean, if I don't make it, what am I going to do for a year? Continue with community college? Work? Both? Oy...I should probably come to some kind of conclusion soon :x In some sense I guess I'm a little bit jealous of those who got university applications over with during senior year of high school, but I don't regret starting off at community college at all. In fact, I'm rather loving the experience :P I'll never really understand why people think that starting off at university is "better" than going to community college first.

Anyway, that's what's been up lately :P

Today: *yawn* I'm tired. I don't think I could go back to bed though =/ I've class in about an hour (again!). Not looking forward to coming home though because I have to start writing some paper for my music class that I haven't even started to research yet. I also have to get together with my group mates from my Organizational Behavior class because we have some research due next week. Blah, I also have to watch part one of a video for U.S. History about Thomas Jefferson too. Oyy. Too many things to do this week.

The weekend was pretty meh I guess. Friday was fun as I got to chill with my boyfriend, but Saturday and Sunday seemed kind of slow x_x; Especially yesterday! I guess it's because I didn't really do much. I went with my stepmom last night to Bellevue because it was her friend's "surprise birthday party", but it wasn't really that surprising at all. It sucked because there were only three of us at the reserved table at first, and we waited for people for over an hour. We later found out that people were actually there, but someone went ahead and reserved another table at the bar, which I couldn't go to because I'm underage -_-; It was just bad planning altogether. They planned the party for 9:30 on a Sunday night, but people have to work Monday so no one was there. We waited forever, but didn't stay long after the birthday guy arrived. It's always awkward being around my stepmom's friends because they're so much older and they talk about work. Why couldn't my dad have just gone?

Even though this week will be pretty busy, I'm at least glad that I only have one history class this week. Thank God.

Anyway, that's all for now~

Today: It's about an hour before I have to get to class, so I figure I'd update this for the day (and possibly maybe later as the day progresses?) :D I'm so tired! My body hasn't adjusted to daylight savings yet >_>; I woke up at 7 something this morning because I'm accustomed to waking up at around 8 when it would have been. To my surprise, my dog was in the bath, so since I was awake, I was asked to give her a wash. Not how I was expecting to start the day, but it's all good. At least she's all clean now =)

After that I decided to catch up on some reading for my U.S. history class. I haven't read the first five chapters of one book yet, but I think I can put that off until Wednesday's class >_>; I started reading some of it last night, but that just wasn't happening. I found myself totally falling asleep ._.;; The textbook I'm reading though seems to be far more interesting than the other history textbooks I've read in the past, and for that I am happy.

I had a pretty okay weekend overall. A bunch of trick-or-treaters came on Saturday, but they all stopped coming at around 8:00 because I think it started to rain. We still have a little stash of candy in the closet left, but it kind of sucks :x I was stuck distributing candy again, but it wasn't all that bad. Yesterday I spent the morning doing reading/homework. That wasn't very fun at all D: I did most of it, but not all of it, which is why I did some reading this morning.

I should probably get ready for class...I don't wanna go today. I'm just...not in the mood. I really just wanna go back to bed (-_-) z..z..z

Today: Happy Halloween~ Candy, candy, candy! I want some. We haven't bought any for any of the trick-or-treaters yet...I wonder if are going to? I have a feeling that if we don't our house will get egged or something :x I'm not dressing up again this year. I think the last time I wore a costume was in 8th grade when I was trying to get out of our weekly run in gym xD The deal was if you wore a costume for that one day you could walk around the trail, but if you didn't have one, you had to run it. That was fun looking back on it.

It always kind of amazes me that I've had this blog since then, so I probably wrote about that experience here all those years ago.

Anyway, back to Halloween. It's always fun to see everyone's costumes. The little kids are always the cutest. My little sister this year is a Tinkerbell fairy, and my brother decided to be a ninja again. Ugh, I think I'm gonna be stuck distributing candy to little kids again. Last year I actually went out with Alan and I left out a bowl of candy on my porch, and usually I never give away the whole bowl, but it was all gone that year.

I've got homework this weekend. So much reading in fact, and I haven't even started on it yet >_>; My aunt was supposed to take me out to some dim sum today, but my grandpa made some other plans for her instead x_x; She said another time, but I was kind of looking forward to it.

Anyway, maybe I'll get started on reading or something. I kind of wish I had plans for tonight other than staying home :\

I wanna go shopping. I need some long sleeved shirts, as well as a sweater. It's getting cold outside unfortunately :( My stepmom bought me a pair of jeans last Sunday. I ♥ jeans.

Maybe I'll start studying tonight. It beats doing nothing I guess -_-;

Today: I took the easiest quiz ever today. So easy in fact, that my instructor gave us all the answers. I think he's trying to prove a point of some kind >_>; I mean, why would you give us answers unless you had something to prove? My boyfriend was like, "I feel violated...I feel like the teacher cheated me" xD

I have to really get studying. Midterms are next week already. Pretty crazy stuff~ I still haven't bought my history textbook yet either. So far, I've just been winging it, and so far...it's been working ._.; I think I'm going to get my stepmom to order it for me tonight. I need it ASAP.

Not a whole lot has been going on with me. More later...maybe~

Today: My whole school had to stand out in the pouring down rain today. The fire alarm actually went off, which forced us all out in the cold. Apparently it was because some guy was making pancakes, and I guess that triggered it. No one was hurt or anything...there weren't even any flames. Kind of ridiculous though. I mean, of all the days it could have been, it had to be on the day of a downpour >:( Surprisingly things have calmed down...but for how long I wonder?

I did take a history quiz today, and did pretty well on it. I only missed one question :P Some of them I guessed on, so I was surprised that I got them right. That quiz I was talking about for Music Appreciation last Monday actually turned out to be a take home quiz. Alan & I ended up doing it all in class though. It was so easy~

Blah. I'm bored. I don't think I have any homework, but then again...you never know >_>;

Since I actually feel like updating this, my LJ seems a little deserted. I should probably get around to updating that soon.

music: strawberry short-Cut: NAGISA COSMETIC

Today: I feel a little funky. I'm not sure if it's a good or bad funky. I mean, feeling funky isn't necessarily good, but is it because I'm sick, hungry, or what? My body is weird. Sometimes I hate being a girl, haha. There are too many fluctuations and moods and...haha it sounds like PMS now, doesn't it? xD Maybe that's it.

I was pretty convinced that I would have a history quiz today because my instructor likes giving out pop quizzes, but that wasn't the case. Instead we had a five point graded discussion, and that was pretty much it. History is boring, but not too bad. I guess I can cope. Plus it helps that I sit with two really nice people xD

I have a quiz in music appreciation tomorrow, but I'm not worried. It's pretty easy terms. Easy peasy lemon squeezy, haha. I don't think I have anything to do except listen and take notes for Organizational Behavior (which I might just abbreviate to OB from now on :P). I like my classes so far this quarter. Yeah, I think I can honestly say that. I need to purchase my history textbook still... >_>;

I've been listening to NAGISA COSMETIC lately, and they sound a lot like capsule (well, I guess early capsule) as both groups are composed by Nakata YASUTAKA. It's pretty cute music actually, haha. If you're wondering what they sound like, you can check out the song strawberry short-Cut via YouTube :D

Today: ...when the conversation stops and we're facing our defeat. I'll be next to you and you'll be right there next to me Haha. I love Weezer. This song is just too cute :3

I'm hungry~ So so so very hungry. I guess I'll get around to eating something eventually. I was supposed to spend today doing homework (namely history), but I've been doing this all day xD Oy... I don't think I prioritize very well.

Oh yes. I have started school again! I'm kicking off my sophomore year of college which started about two weeks ago. I'm taking US History I (which has been pretty snoozefest so far...I should have taken US History III or something. At least that's the more interesting part >_>;), Music Appreciation (which is my fluff class of the quarter xD), and Organizational Behavior (which is a pretty interesting psych class). So far I have the most homework in US History I. It's so much reading and notes. Blah. Music appreciation is pretty interesting because it focuses on world music. Class yesterday was so boring though. We just talked about the definitions of musical terms, such as: melody, rhythm, tempo, etc. Plus there was this annoying girl who was like showing off her musical vocabulary with every question she asked...just the way she would ask her questions drove me crazy because she totally knew the answers. Music class I've realized isn't as fun if you're not playing anything. And because of that I kind of miss being in orchestra.

Anyway, I'm much the pretty same old. I saw Zombieland a week ago. It was pretty funny actually. Started school, got accepted to be in honor society (which I'm really surprised about :x), and have been pretty much preoccupied with homework. It hasn't been too fun x_x;

But yeah. That's basically the haps. I'm such a boring person, haha.
